About
Graham St.Clair and the West Texas Wind

Graham St.Clair and the West Texas Wind is a band based out of Waco, Texas. The band leader and main songwriter, Graham St.Clair grew up in Lubbock, Texas, and his songwriting is heavily influenced by the West Texas culture that he was raised in. Members of the West Texas Wind include Jackson Wright, lead electric/acoustic guitarist; Sean Douglas, rhythm electric guitarist; Raymond Spell; bass guitarist; and Jackson Cossey, percussionist. The band came together by chance while attending Baylor University, and immediately felt at home with each other in both their personalities and play styles. Lead guitarist Jackson Wright can be quoted saying, “we came together because everybody shared a mutual level of appreciation for the music that we played. Whether we are covering a song that we all admire, or workshopping one of our own, there’s a respect that everyone has for each other’s talent that allows us to create genuine music.” The band’s comradery and authenticity can be seen and felt from any passerby that witnesses a performance. “We’re doing this to have fun. We love performing with each other and we love making music that might mean something to somebody. It doesn’t matter if we’re playing for an audience of ten or ten thousand; all we want to do is make real, authentic music that might make a difference in somebody’s life” (Graham St.Clair).

Since the band’s beginning, they have been working on producing a record that encapsulates their music style and their sound. Graham St.Clair and the West Texas Wind records in Lubbock Texas with an up and coming producer by the name of Breck Moyers. With the help of the Moyer’s family, and some of Lubbock’s finest musicians and sound engineers, they have been able to produce their debut album titled “Roaming Home.” Roaming Home is an album that has a raw, Texas-country sound. It mixes genuine, old-fashioned country music, with the more modern rock-and-roll country style. The band has drawn influence from artists and bands such as Jason Isbell, Flatland Cavalry, Turnpike Troubadours, and Thieving Birds. They chose to exclusively hire musicians from Lubbock to perform on the album, including Kurt Baumer on the fiddle, Wally Moyers on the pedal steel guitar and dobro, LaTronda Moyers on backup vocals, and Carry Banks on the piano. With the help of these incredible musicians, Graham St.Clair and the West Texas Wind has been able to produce an album that will leave no country music listener unsatisfied.
